About Swiss Transport News

Swiss Transport News started in 1999 as a quarterly magazine available by subscription and at some specialist book shops. The purpose of the magazine was to bring information to its readers about new or interesting things happening on Swiss transport, trains, boats, buses, trams and other forms of Swiss transport.

Photographs of the various advertising liveries on the locos were also used to illustrate articles.

The new form of Swiss Transport News on the web will be free for people to view, we will include plenty of photographs of the transport, if you have any requests for locos, trams, boats, buses or any particular station etc. You can email us, if we can, we will obtain it and put it on the web site. All the photographs will be low jpegs.

To help wih the cost of running the site we will make the high definiton jpegs available for personal use for a small fee, these have been taken on Nikon cameras, the copyright will remain with Swiss Transport News.

Over the past twenty-five years I have photographed many different railway companies, we will have a page of older pictures from around Switzerland these will be low resolution jpegs on the site, again high resolution images will be available to purchase, also, some of the original Swiss Transport News magazines are available, plus two books, details in the online store, keep checking back the site will be updated weekly with new information and photographs.
